Now more than ever we need to reconnect with others in our industry to share our experiences from the good, the bad and the ugly. Plan for the future and learn from each other's triumphs and tribulations.

We are excited to bring you some great speakers, networking/video chat opportunities and some fun events this year.

Our conference platform, Pheedloop, allows for a lot of great features we think you'll love:

Lobby: Add interesting sessions right to your calendar and catch up on conference announcements or chat with other attendees before the next session.

Sessions: We have a fantastic program of key-note lectures and panels sessions for you this year you don't want to miss. From Prevailing Wage to Design-Build and Technical issues of post-fire debris flow we have all the content you need.

Group Discussion Sessions: Join one of our session rooms for group discussions (up to 25 people) on topics affecting geotechnical engineers in California. Sessions will be attended by a CalGeo board member to gather info and share to the group.

Pro-Tip: Attendees can also create their own discussion groups for up to 5 attendees. Look for fellow sports fans, or emerging professionals - you can name your group whatever you like!

Networking: Start a one-on-one chat with any other attendee or long-lost friend and click to switch to a fun video-chat visit.

Expo: Visit our Affiliate member booths to gather materials, watch videos or live-chat with the reps. Get up to speed on new technology and products and watch live demos.

We miss seeing you all at our fun events and have created a number of optional social events to re-create our conference atmosphere in the safety of our own homes.

Only the Wine Tasting and Happy Hour Mixology will require an extra charge at registration to cover the shipping and drink cost.

Trivia Night

Our Emerging Professional group is a trivia power-house and have held numerous trivia themed events in the past. Everyone is welcome to join in on Trivia night to face off against others on general trivia topics ranging from geography to history and pop-culture. Keep an eye out for special theme categories to help you keep your answers on track.

Wine Tasting with Brown Estate Vinyards, Napa

Thursday April 29th, 6pm - Hosted by Marco Ortega, Lead Wine Educator, Sponsored by California Nevada Cement Association

During registration you will be prompted to opt-in or out for our wine tasting night with Brown Estates Winery. Join Marco Ortega, Brown Estate's Tasting Room Lead Wine Educator for a presentation about the history of Brown Estates, the first African American owned winery in Napa Valley. Marco will lead us through the tasting of two red wines from their 2019 vintage, a Red Blend and their Zinfandel. Wines will be shipped to the mailing address specified in registration ahead of the event.

Registration for this event will be cut-off on April 5th to provide the winery with enough time to package and ship the wines directly to your home.
