About the Speaker:

René Laprade obtained his BASCE from the University of Toronto and is a Professional Engineer registered in the province of Ontario. René joined TenCate Geosynthetics in 2012 as an Engineering Business Manager for Eastern Canada. In early 2018, René took on his current role as Technical Marketing Manager. In his 15+ years in the geosynthetics industry, René has also taken on sales management and business development management roles for North American manufacturers in different industries. He has authored or co-authored several papers which he has presented at national and international conferences. René is the past Chair of the Canadian Geotechnical Society, Southern Ontario Section as well as the current Geosynthetics Division Chair for the Canadian Geotechnical Society. He lives in Aurora, ON.
