Geotechnical Site Characterization Seminar on July 14, 2022

The ASCE Orange County (OC) Geo-Institute (G-I) invites you to join us for a ½-day seminar regarding Geotechnical Site Characterization.  This event will be held in person at Market Place Center (350 Commerce, Suite 140, Irvine, CA 92602)  from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2022.

Our experts in the field are:

  • Dr. Jason DeJong from University of California Davis, discussing project risks management using an integrated site characterization approach, using CPT for liquefaction evaluation and triggering, and Becker Penetration Testing for the characterization of gravelly soils;
  • Dr. Chukwuebuka Nweke from University of Southern California, presenting site characterization for seismic hazard analysis with a specific focus on the application of VS30, isosurface depths, and geomorphic categories.
  • Dr. Jeffrey Knot from CSU Fullerton, talking about the geologic aspects of site characterization and comparing them to the geotechnical approach.

Please learn more about the event and make your reservations at the following link:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/asce-oc-g-i-site-characterization-seminar-tickets-356584492817
