Presented by Dr. Norm Abrahamson, UC Berkeley
COURSE UPDATE: As of January 10, 2022, this course is sold out. If you would like to be placed on the waitlist, please email nick@calgeo.org.
This cou rse sold out last year, and we are so lucky to have Dr. Norm Abrahamson agr ee to put on the course for us again!
This 15-week course will be similar to the UC Berkeley 40-hour course taugh t by Dr. Abrahamson on alternating years. Our version of the course is desi gned for working professionals and those looking to deepen their knowledge of Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis. Participants in last-year's cours e are welcome to re-enroll for more challenging problems this year!< /p>
This course will follow the same outline as Dr. Abrahamson's course a t UC Berkeley that is held every 2-years with the following differences:
Please note: Registration o f the course will be closed to current students until January 10th as this course is designed for working professionals. Register early to save a spot before we open it up to students. The university course will not be held i n Spring 2022 on-campus so we anticipate high demand for student access.
Attendees will meet via zoom twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays sta rting January 19th, 2022. The course will run each week except for the week of March 21-25th for spring break AND the week of April 18-22nd for CalGeo 's Annual Conference. If an attendee is unable to make a live session, all lectures and Q&A will be recorded and available to registered attendees along with course materials on CalGeo's Online Learning Library. The cours e will conclude on May 13th, 2022.
Due to the smaller class size, att endees will be able to interact more with Dr. Abrahamson and ask questions during each class to gain a deeper knowledge of the topic.
Registrati on will be capped at 25-students!
CalGeo Members $2500, Non-members $3000. Still not a member? Join now and also get a full year's access to our Onlin e Learning Library of recorded webinars.
